Yet ANOTHER frosty paws recipe! Seriously, the pups can't get enough of these... even the ones with spinach that you see above!
Defrost the spinach and squeeze out all the extra water before mixing it into the other ingredients.
Spinach, applesauce and plain yogurt this time... and mix it up!
It almost looks like creamed spinach! Which I don't like. But I'm sure the puppies would. They love everything. Spoon it into the trays and get ready to freeze.
This is a hard one to clean the edges from- the spinach gets in the way. But, do the best you can.
As a side note, make sure you don't stack them on top of each other. Just a reminder. After a good spell in the freezer, the cubes are ready to be devoured! By the dogs, of course!
Super Green Frosty Paws
1/2 cup applesauce
16 oz frozen spinach, thawed and drained
24 ounces fat free plain yogurt
In a mixing bowl, combine all of the above ingredients. Puree with a hand mixer until the spinach is in fine chunks. Spoon the puree into ice cube trays until just full. Tap trays on the counter to remove any air bubbles and to smooth out the surface. Put trays into the ice box and freeze for several hours or until completely set. Keep frozen until time to enjoy!
