crock pot carne asada

More tacos! Always, I want more tacos. I could and definitely would eat tacos every night. Even Ed was happy about this because it's beef!
It's a pretty simple recipe too. The seasonings are cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper.
The real key to this recipe is to use a cook slice of beef. This is a flank steak with nice marble of fat but it's lean at the same time. The perfect steak for tacos.
Yep, that much seasoning. It wont be over powering, I promise.
Diced tomato, diced onion, diced garlic and diced jalapeno. Only one thing left before you leave it alone for a few hours...
One can of beef broth. Now, say goodbye for a little while.
4 hours on high or 8 hours on low, and here's what comes out. The smell is amazing.
Shred with two forks before plopping into a tortilla. Ed did this shredding! Nice boy.
Oh yes. All I need now is a little squeeze of lime and... maybe a few napkins.
Crock Pot Carne Asada
It's what's for dinner!
2 lbs flank steak
1 large onion, chopped
2 jalapenos, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 Tablespoons cumin
2 Tablespoons chili powder
3 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 15 oz can beef broth
Tortillas
Lime wedges

Combine together cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper in a small both. Place flank steak in crock pot and completely coat with seasoning mixture. Add onions, jalapeno, tomato and garlic to crock pot and cover with the beef broth. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Shred flank steak with two forks. Serve with lime wedges and flour or corn tortillas. Enjoy!
